Philippa Gregory novels to be adapted for the BBC
The White Queen, The Red Queen and The Kingmaker’s Daughter (not yet published) are to be adapted by the BBC and turned into a twelve hour historical drama. The plans were announced by Ben Stephenson, the BBC’s controller of drama commissioning, at the Broadcasting Press Guild in London when he described the ensuing programme as a “big, fat, old soap opera”
